Play Date

When my friend Michayla comes into town with her 3 kids we make it a point to get the kids together to play. Adien in 3 months older than Aurora and her Jaryden is 18 months older than Parker and he is 10 months older than her Shayleen.

Aurora and Adien have been friends since she was born, he did call her his girlfriend but now he says she is his wife... He is so sweet to her and she is so protective of him at the playground. I love it! they are best friends how wonderful that they can grow up together.

Kids bring out the Kids in us all

Sunday we went to see Grandma and Grandpa Savage (Jared's grandparents on his mom's side) Anyway, We try to go see them being as they just live in Bloomfield. Aurora thinks they are just so great. Most of the time when we go we just sit and watch the kids play while we talk and listen to them tell us stories of things they have done. Or Grandpa takes Aurora into the garden and she helps him pick tomatoes. This trip was much more eventful...

Aurora got jacks out and Grandpa showed her how to spin them by the end her and Parker just wanted him to spin them so they could catch them.
Parker enjoyed all of the wind up toy and the ball...more on the ball in a sec...

Aurora like to make funny faces and so she thought she would help grandma make some too.

Parker is so proud that he can get into chairs now he liked sitting next to grandma (this is one of people who gave him the red hair)

And so it begins! Keep away! Aurora was in the middle and Grandma and Grandpa made the ends

Yeah she is wrestling grandma put up a mean fight too!

Tickling... Hugging... Aurora had no chance

This made us luagh so hard! he would move the ball all over then oops! it would dissapear... he put it under his arm and Aurora would look everywhere for it.

I Loved watching them play together like that and now I have the best pictures to show Aurora when she gets older.

Jared's bunny love

When I was younger my sister and I were involved in 4-H. We were mainly into rabbits and were really good we both were the top breeders in the state for our breed.

As most kids do when we became seniors in high school we started to get rid of our rabbits we sold them so we could save for college. Our mom stayed in rabbits and got her own breed when we left. When Aurora showed interest in the rabbits she got her a breed that is small enough for her to handle

My mom had wanted to try and create a new breed so she had bought some mini rex to cross with holland lops. (I know, unless you have rabbits that doesn't mean much) When she started to breed the mini rex I decided I wanted to do rabbits again so I got a bunny. Then Jared decided he wanted a bunny too so him and I now own most of the mini rex in the barn.

Jared and Parker got to go to thier first show on the 19th and Jared did so good! He even learned how to be a scribe (scribe: someone writing down what the rabbit judge says on a comment card) It is not easy and he did an amazing job his first time! I was so proud of him.

Cleaning Bunny Barn

To clean the rabbit barn we take the trays outside and hose them off the hose is high powered and Aurora insisted to do it herself. She was a big help and made us laugh too.

All we had to do was tell her where to hit the tray

Aurora's first time riding solo! She is doing so good! I love watching her grow up on horses the way I got to. It makes me so proud!

Gramps would tell her turn left or turn right and she would I was so impressed!

She had to pose for the camera... she was so excited to be doing it herself.

She is such a big girl I can't believe how much she has grown... I love being able to share something so close to my heart with her and I know my dad enjoys it too being able to teach her the way he taught me.

He was acting so sweet and shy while everybody sang but when he realized the cupcake and candle well...

He wanted them!

Good thing papa was there to save his little fingers

He learned from the best (miss Aurora) that the first part you eat is the icing so he kept dipping his finger until it was gone then went fo the whole cupcake... It was so much fun to make such a good mess!

Parker is the best Sharer in the family... How many people share their Birthday cupcake? I know I wouldn't hahaha He loved his yummy cupcake! Thanks Mama!

Next! He went from cake to real food in no time! He is a "healthy" kid for a reason HE LOVES FOOD

What a good host... walking around thanking people for coming and making everone feel nice

He didn't understand the unwrapping part but he knew the boxes were for him!
